Joshua Tree

It’s Winter ❄

But snow is not everywhere!

I went to Joshua Tree during my Christmas trip in December, located in Southern California. After 4 days in the snow and very low temperatures at Yosemite and Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park, I’m glad to be warm again 🌞 Especially because I got really sick with strep throat and an ear infection. I spent only a few hours there because of that but I really liked it.

Joshua Tree is a paradise for climbers and bouldering enthusiasts ❤

I wish I could’ve stayed longer and spent at least one night there. I would enjoy this beautiful sky full of stars like I heard about, make some climbers friends and climb all day. Joshua Tree offers many visitors the chance to admire the Milky Way for the first time in their lives.

I only had time and courage to do some nature trails. I really liked Arch Rock. It’s a natural arch. You can find it at White Tank Campground (amazing place for camping), it’s an .5 mile loop.

Cholla Cactus Garden located 20 miles North of Cotonwood Visitor Center. Very short .25 mile loop with a very dense concentration of Cholla Cactus.

Keys View has a view of San Andreas Fault, Mt. San Jacinco, Mt. San Gorgonio, and the Salton Sea. It’s a .25 mile loop. At the Grocery store, the cashier told me to go at night cause we can see all the cities lights from there. Unfortunately, I was too sick to go back and check out. But please go ahead!

Skull Rock was awesome for some bouldering. I had so much fun climbling around. I tried to forget how my throat was hurting me so bad for like 30min and enjoy this amazing desert and Joshua Trees. 1.5 miles loop.
